When you smoke a cigar, cutting it first is fundamental to the experience. However, even the most experienced cigar enthusiasts have a hard time keeping up.
Cigars that are improperly cut may have their wrappers unraveled and may split. By using the incorrect tool, you can severely damage the wrapper, which makes smoking nearly impossible.
No matter if you are an experienced cigar smoker or brand new to this culture, developing the right cigar lighting technique can help you achieve a perfect burn. Additionally, we offer recommendations for the best cigar-cutting tools.

Cutters For Cutting Cigars With One Blade
Typical cigar cutters use a single blade guillotine. This type of cutter is widely available and is relatively inexpensive. As with their double-bladed cousins, they cut straight. As double-bladed guillotines become more common, their popularity is waning.
Due to poor economic conditions, single blade guillotines are hard to find, but are very inexpensive. A decent cigar guillotine has a diagonal blade, which results in slicing instead of crushing.
One of the disadvantages of single-bladed guillotines is that they rapidly dull and are difficult to maintain. Alternatively, some versions look like pocket knives with exposed blades, sometimes with an ornate design.
A Cigar Cutter With Two Blades
As single guillotines have become obsolete, most people use double guillotines to make quilts today. With guillotines being so cheap as normal guillotines, an enthusiast is unlikely to overlook using a guillotine every day for their cutting needs.
Guillotines with double blades can be made from a variety of materials, shapes, and quality. There are only two blades in the basic models, which are assembled in a plastic case.
A premium model can, however, be made of high-quality steel and are equipped with spring-loaded mechanisms. Others even come with an automatically sharpening blade.
